Why custom invitations?
Your guests will just throw them away right? So false! You have heard it before but just to put it out there again... your wedding invitations are the first thing people will see of your event and sometimes the only thing they get to see. You spend a lot of time planning out the details of the actual wedding and you should also take the same time and costs to create custom invitations for your guests. Probably the only thing they will have to remind them of your special day is the invitation. You get what you pay for and the extra cost of custom invitations that really reflect your personality and event style is priceless. Get your guests excited to come to your event!
Do you have a minimum order?
We do not have a minimum order quantity but do require that orders are placed in increments of 10. So if you order 175 invites we will round it up to 180.
How many invitations should I order?
We highly recommend that you take the time with your family to go over your guest list and get an accurate number. This can take some extra time but it will be worth it. You don't want to order too many and have tons left over but even more, you don't want to order too few and have to print 10 more. It is really expensive to do this, as the printing set up charges are the same for 10 or 500 invites. If you have an accurate number you should order at least 10 extra just to be safe... there will be someone you want to add or forgot about.
When is a good time to order my invitations?
A common mistake that brides make when ordering invitations is they wait until the very last minute to begin thinking about invitations. Huge mistake! It is never to early to begin working on your invitations. With out invitations no one will be coming to your event. Custom invitations take time and attention to detail to produce. Don't add more stress right before your big day by waiting to long to order your invitations. Allow plenty of time for your designer to come up with the perfect design and also allow extra time for unseen delays do to busy wedding season. The more time you allow before you want to mail out your invites the better! Begin the design process early in the game... at the very least 1 month before you want to mail out your invitations. But preferably 2-3 months if not more.
Do you make samples before I order?
No. The cost to print and order one sample is just too expensive. You will of course see digital proofs of your design and sign off on them before they are sent to print. This is also why we like to do a consultation. You can see our portfolio and the quality or our work. You will also be able to see paper type and colors chosen so there are no surprises.
Whet printing styles do you offer?
We specialize in off-set printing for invitations due to the versatility of color printing and the lower printing costs involved. We also offer other forms of printing such as letterpress, engraving and thermography.
Do your invitations come assembled or require me to put them together?
Most of our designs do require assembly. You have the option of doing them yourselves and we will provide the tools to do so, or we also offer assembly options for an additional fee. This allows you to save money if you choose to do them yourselves. If you choose to have us assemble them, we promise it is worth the extra money you will save on time and stress.
What postage do your invites require?
The majority of our invitation designs require a 2 oz. rate stamp. Most of the pocket style or layered invitations with numerous insert cards will fall into this rate. RSVP cards and envelope will need the 1 oz. rate stamp but if you choose to do a postcard style then you will only need a postcard rate stamp which is less. You should ALWAYS take a finished invitation with all the inserts to your local post office to be weighed for correct postage before you mail all of your invitations.
