We were so excited to be apart of the Utah Bride Blog’s 2012 Spring Shoot! The concept for this shoot was inspired by the color of the year… Tangerine Tango! If you have been planning your wedding you a probably are already aware of this bright hue, but might be a little afraid of incorporating it into your color palette. We wanted to show how this bright color can be used correctly to create a fun, modern yet elegant wedding!
There was just no better place to capture this look then at the beautiful Entrada in St. George! This venue is beyond breathtaking with the orange rocks and green landscape. Jimmy Bishop with Gideon Photography did an AMAZING job capturing this preppy, flirty and sophisticated look!
This year we are seeing a lot of brides going for a more modern and informal approach to their invitation designs. Playing with fun color combinations, geometric shapes and flirty fonts is a sure way to get your guests excited to attend your event! Don’t be afraid to try different shapes and unique envelope options. One thing that many brides don’t realize is adding the extra paper details at your event is actually pretty easy to do and not as expensive as you might think! Details such as signage, programs, menus, escort cards and place cards make a huge impact in creating a very unique and personalized touch for your guests. This is also a great way to bring in your colors and fun patterns without being to over the top. If you are using a custom graphic designer for your invitations ask them for pricing for these additional items. Since you will have already picked out fonts, colors and designs that you love for your invites it’s very easy for them to carry these details over to the other elements and you will be surprised at how affordable they can be!
If I can give one tip to brides it would be to remember to take one of your invitations with you to your wedding and have your photographer snag a few shots of your invitations so you can have images of them to remember forever… they also make for great detail shots!
